We all know our great nation has seen some tough economic times over the past few years. But America has never been a country defined by its failures or adversity, but rather how we respond to such difficult circumstances. Invariably, we find a way to emerge from challenging times even stronger than before. The housing market is no different. While times have been tough almost without exception, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Like with almost any difficult situation, there is a silver lining with regard to real estate – there are many very affordable homes available for the prospective buyer, homes that 5 or certainly 10 years ago would not have been in your price range. Although we are on the mend, it remains a buyer’s market. That’s where I can help you realize your dreams of home ownership in beautiful Columbia, South Carolina.
Columbia is a city as rich in history and culture as in opportunity, and is a wonderful place to live for both families and single people. One of Columbia’s nicknames is “The City of Southern Hospitality” – if you spend a day or two in Columbia, you’ll know why. You can as easily go see a concert at the Colonial Center as you can an ice show at the Carolina Coliseum as you can a national dance touring company at The Township, a regatta at Lake Murray….do you get the idea? Columbia truly has something for everyone. History buffs will love the historic plantations that have been around since the 17th century; kids will fall love the State Museum, which features a replica of a three ton white shark! Theater buffs can catch a theatrical production at the Koger Center or another of Columbia’s many theaters; nature enthusiasts can get their fill at Congaree National Park, which contains some of the tallest trees on the East Coast. And of course football is huge – enjoy a tailgate at Williams-Brice Stadium as the University of South Carolina battles one of its Southeastern Conference foes. Columbia also holds many internationally-flavored festivals, has dozens of championship golf courses, the Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden – which is consistently among the nations’ best zoos…all that, and the beach is less than 2 hours away!
I bring a wealth of experience and local market knowledge to the table to help my clients not just find the right home, but the right price. My specialties are short sales and foreclosure properties, but I have been assisting client with all of their real estate needs for over a decade. When I help a client in Columbia, I’m not just assisting a business prospect; I’m helping a potential neighbor, a prospective fellow member of the community. My passion is people; let’s find your dream home together!
